How has Berlin's urban landscape changed in its remarkable transformation from divided city to creative capital? Spaces of Uncertainty, Berlin revisited reveals the evolution and complex politics of open space. The accompanying essays by noted urban thinkers explore this little-known but vital reserve – forcing us to reflect on our unrelenting efforts to chart the future of the city at large. Our design aimed to make a clear distinction between the colorful photographic essay – and the scientific texts set in bold font and kept in black and white. We also wanted to highlight the two different parts of the book on the cover – photographic essay, and written essays – by including a short biography of each contributor on the cover.
